Sorry about the silence over the past week and a half... but here we come again...

In this post I wanted to share, not photography but some drawings that I did.

Disconnection

When we aren't working on a photoshoot for our next post, we like to go to the park and chill out, share some good conversation, discuss about anything, smoke shisha... or even just remain silent next to each other... breathing slowly, disconnecting from the frenetic routine.

Like Kate Moss and Mario Testino said: "Work hard, but enjoy yourself at the same time."

First steps on the moon

What started 2 years ago, this dream of moving to London to pursue the ambition of studying fashion is now closer and closer…

I know that I am just a common girl from an island where shops don’t offer as much variety of clothes as we could desire but I aspire for more, I want more and that’s why I chose LCF to study Fashion Journalism ‘cause I wanna feel alive. I know perhaps I will not become the next Anna Wintour but as Gandhi said, whatever you do in life will be insignificant. But it's very important that you do it.

…And this is what I am doing; something insignificant for the rest of the world, but something which means the world to me… and nobody knows what will happen, I am the one who writes my story and this is how it starts.

American Jeans

We decided to start with something which could be easy to set. We went to the shop and there we spotted an American flag so we used it as the background to portray our Jeans theme. We didn't have much room so we improvised a studio...

Intro

We are Nicholas and Helena, and we introduce you to our blog; ADDICTIVE, DON’T START. This name we gave our blog came out from our addiction to photography and fashion.

This proyect started in June when we met; and I, Helena, told Nicholas that I was moving to London in Spetember ‘cause I was going to study Fashion Journalism at London College of Fashion ( University of The Arts London) and he told me that he was an amateur photographer so in some time we decided to put together our talents or our hobbies and start something together. THIS BLOG IS THE CULMINATION OF THAT INITIAL DREAM.

Last week we discovered a new, the only one in the island, vintage store so we took the iniciative of taking pictures to promote the shop, we talked to the boss and she accepted. We can just say: ECSTASY.
